Chelsea are in no hurry to point to Kai Havertz this summer as negotiations between the Blues and Bayer Leverkusen rumble.That’s the opinion of Gab Marcotti of ESPN, who believes Frank Lampard is already confident in his attack before the new season.
Havertz’s movement saga is still ongoing, and the Blues are expected to be willing to succeed in an agreement.
The German striker scored in what is likely to be his last match at Leverkusen on Monday night by placing the net in the 2–1 loss to Inter Milan.
Havertz is expected to move this summer for some time, with a lot of stakeholders across Europe.
However, it turns out that Chelsea are leading the way, after Real Madrid have withdrawn from the race.

Although he did not face any festivals for his signing, Chelsea found negotiations difficult, with Leverkusen holding company in his assessment.
The Bundesliga squad is asking for 70 million pounds for the young striker, because they know they will only be there to download once and do not need to sell at a discount.
Chelsea, however, seem willing to spend so much, as they have paid 90 million pounds for strikers Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.

In statements to ESPN FC, Marcotti warned that Lampard would put the Stamford Bridge board under any pressure to pay for Havertz as he has other priorities in the move-in window.
Chelsea need to hire a new goalkeeper, a center back and a left back, and have Ben Chilwell at the most sensible place on their shopping list.
And Marcotti explained that the defense’s wish may mean that the Havertz deal would be rejected.
He said: “I don’t think Chelsea is in any specific hurry.
“I don’t think Chelsea think they love Kai Havertz, given the players they already have, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech are already there, Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the list goes on.
“But also, Chelsea says that if there’s a chance they can get it at a value they like and on terms they like, they will.
‘I don’t think Chelsea will move from their position or move forward.
“I don’t think Lampard puts pressure on the club to say he wants Havertz now, not as long as they have bigger positions to fill and other positions elsewhere.”
