Chelsea will be active this summer.
Les Bleus will be busy again this summer as they look at their team under the guidance of another new coach.
One player the Blues have long enjoyed is Michael Olise.
Chelsea, of course, did sign Olise last summer before signing a new contract with Crystal Palace.
According to Sami Mokbel, speaking to The Byline, Chelsea are still interested in Olise, saying the Blues could strike a deal for the £60m boy towards the end of the move-in window once they have sorted out other issues.
Mokbel has shared what he has heard about Olise and a possible move to Chelsea.
“I think you have a chance. But I checked my accuracy about 10 days ago and there’s still nothing concrete in the Premier League,” Mokbel said.
“I’ve spoken to my relationships in South London, but I sense there’s interest in Michael Olise. Chelsea, it is no secret, this interest is permanent and it is a long-term goal.
“I think Chelsea have other priorities and they want those to be done and finished first.
“I think if there’s an opportunity and the club are convinced there’s enough cash left and that won’t get them past the milestone with PSR and they think there’s an opportunity to get Olise through that £60m release clause, it’s complicated, complex. If they think they can close that deal towards the end of the term, I’m sure it’s a deal they would really consider.
Mokbel says Chelsea could wait until the end of the summer to sign Olise, but the fact remains that the Crystal Palace star could be signed until then.
With a £60m release clause on his contract, the most sensible clubs will spot Olise on the first day of the move-in window, and if Chelsea don’t act quickly, they may be defeated.
Chelsea love Olise, but if they want to sign him, they may need to act quickly.
