Chelsea may be willing to wait until the summer to have their squad in place, as Mauricio Pochettino could be in a position to replace their move plans in January. The Blues are expected to spend big in the winter transfer window despite spending more than £1 billion on moves since buying Todd Boehly 18 months ago, but the Argentine could simply halt their efforts to signal new signs mid-season.
The west London club have made significant improvements in recent weeks after a poor start to the season, with encouraging effects in the face of the possibility of Tottenham and Manchester City changing their season.
Reportedly, those performances made Pochettino think twice before looking for a new striker in January.
Chelsea spent £32m to sign Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal in July and, after a slow start in the Premier League, the Senegalese has slowly progressed towards his effectiveness in front of goal. He has scored four goals in his last two games (adding a hat-trick against Tottenham) after scoring just two goals in his last seven appearances.

Armando Broja’s influence has not gone unnoticed either, with the Albanian striker scoring against Fulham earlier this season and coming off the bench to win a penalty in the 4-4 draw against Manchester City.
Pochettino still has £60m to sign Christopher Nkunku to also return from injury, with the Frenchman looking forward to his competitive debut after undergoing minor knee surgery in August. But Nkunku will most likely take on the No. 10 role or rotate with Raheem Sterling on the left, leaving Jackson and Broja as Chelsea’s main attackers.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, speaking to Give Me Sport, Chelsea will eventually sign a striker, but the form of Jackson and Broja could convince the club to postpone their signing until the summer. Nkunku’s long-awaited return to action has also had an impact on their thinking, although they may be convinced to move in January if “the right opportunity presents itself. “

It is believed that Chelsea will thoroughly analyse which striker will be compatible with their team’s profile after seeing several signings fail at Stamford Bridge.
The club loaned Romelu Lukaku just 10 months after his record £97. 5m transfer from Inter Milan and sold Timo Werner to RB Leipzig for a loss of £22. 5m just 18 months after capturing the German, who scored 11 goals in 55 ministers. games.
Strikers such as Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins have been linked with the January moves, while 20-year-old sensation Benjamin Sesko and Napoli leader Victor Osimhen are more beloved targets.
But it looks like Chelsea will try to make do with their existing roles unless one of those four players is available for a transfer.
