CHELSEA fans can’t believe that two elite clubs in Europe are fighting over one of their goalkeepers.
Blues goalkeeper Kepa Arrizibalaga would be chased by Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
According to Nizaar Kinsella, Madrid is a loan-purchase option for the Spanish goalkeeper.
The interest arises after the announcement that the number one of the whites, Thibaut Courtois, has suffered an injury of the anterior cruciate ligament that will force him to undergo surgery in the coming days.
While Florian Plettenberg claimed that Bayern Munich had submitted a one-year loan proposal for Kepa with an option to buy.
They were also forced to reach an agreement with the 28-year-old with their starting goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, who is still being treated after an injury sustained last season.
Despite two European heavyweights fighting for Kepa’s signature, Chelsea fans don’t seem to understand why.
Fans of the west London club have taken to social media to express their perplexity at a potential transfer.
A fan, surprised, writes: “Bayern and Madrid fight for kepa ??”
While he just added: “No way. “
A third fan wrote: “Bidding war for Kepa ??. “
Another fan chimed in, writing: “The bidding war is imminent for Kepa. . . Who would have thought?
Some fans tried to understand why Bayern and Madrid were so interested in Kepa, with a message: “What do they see in Kepa that we don’t know?
Another added: “How ironic that each and every club needs our players but we don’t need them and we don’t put a price on them. “
A third posted: “Kepa has an agent”
Other fans came to their goalkeeper’s defense and encouraged him to do things if he left.
One wrote: “Kepa is pushing for this decision to be made. He will be Real Madrid’s number one in years. “
Chelsea have already noticed a lot of movement between the sticks this season with entries and exits.
Eduard Mendy swapped Stamford Bridge for Saudi Arabia in a move towards Al Ahli and replaced Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
Sanchez joined the Blues on a £25 million contract with the South Coast for seven years.
