Chelsea Football Club have appointed Enzo Maresca as the new head coach of their men’s team.
The announcement made on the club’s online website on Monday marks a vital new bankruptcy for the London-based club.
The Italian coach, who has signed a five-year contract with an option to extend it for another year, will begin his tenure at Stamford Bridge.
“Chelsea Football Club is very pleased to announce the appointment of Enzo Maresca as the new coach of the men’s team,” the club said.

Prior to his successful spell at Leicester City, Maresca built a strong foundation as an assistant coach at several top clubs, including Manchester City, Sevilla, West Ham and Parma. His varied experience as a coach brings new concepts and methods to Chelsea. .
Willy Caballero, Danny Walker, Michele De Bernardin, Marcos Álvarez, Javi Molina and Roberto Vitiello will sign for Maresca’s team at Chelsea. In addition, Ben Roberts has been appointed goalkeeping coach and Bernardo Cueva will take on the role of set-piece coach.
Maresca replaces Mauricio Pochettino, who left Chelsea last month. According to the Club, the decision to leave Pochettino is mutual.
