Chelsea is reportedly contemplating a change to Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior after Zinedine Zidane’s team rejected an initial technique in November. The 20-year-old fought for the normal minutes at the Bernabéu and is frustrated by a lack of opportunity.
Chelsea are looking for a new striker, while Pedro and Willian will leave at the end of the season.
Bayer Leverkusen’s flexible midfielder Kai Havertz has set himself as the Blues’ most sensible target.
But the Spanish publication AS says that Lampard also to point to Vinicius.
The Brazilian joined real since Flamengo in 2018 and has years left on his contract.
A mass release clause of 630 million pounds was included in the contract, but Zidane would let it run through the correct fee.
Vinicius has scored only 8 goals in 69 appearances and has been sidelined as Gareth Bale.
He was frustrated that he was not used in the Champions League defeat to Manchester City and did not even attempt to warm up on the bench.
Zidane asked why he had ruled out the artistic striker while desperately chasing a goal.
“Others have played, but on those occasions, when a team loses, you can look for things,” the Frenchman said.
“Vinicius may simply enter, just like other players. I’m the coach and when I made the adjustments today, there were others. That’s all.”
Genuine enthusiasts were furious that their highly qualified young man had no chance of replacing the game.
“Everyone can have an opinion from the outside, that’s normal, but I’m the coach,” Zidane replied.
“Yes, you can replace it before, replace another player, but that probably wouldn’t replace things.
“Today the adjustments were those, I don’t know that it can be fair and there’s no want to look for excuses for anything.”
Meanwhile, AS added that Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain also showed interest in the wing, but adhered to it with any approach.
