Thiago Silva has played a leading role in Paris Saint Germain’s claim to be a powerhouse in Europe since joining the club in 2012. Not only did he take the team to seven Ligue 1 titles in 8 seasons at the Parc des Princes, but he also won five French Cup titles in the same period.
Silva and his boys have almost won the ultimate silver medal: the Champions League this season, but failed to beat a strong Bayern Munich team in the final. It was the last time the Brazilian wore the blue shirt in the French capital, with his move to Chelsea FC, a Premier League club, on a one-year contract.

Chelsea have been very active in the moving market this season, with Blues against Hakim Ziyech of Ajax Amsterdam and Timo Werner of RB Leipzig, as well as Ben Chil and Malang Sarr with a move for Kai Havertz on the cards. Meanwhile, the inclusion of Thiago Silva will be valuable at Stamford Bridge, especially after his central defender suffered a blow last summer following the departure of David Luiz.
