According to The Athletic, Aston Villa are among those interested in Gallagher’s services, with “preliminary talks” having already been established between the two clubs.

Gallagher is seen as the ideal candidate to sign for the West Midlands side, as Aston Villa have been approached by the midfielder.
His search for Gallagher may stem from Chelsea’s interest in Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran.
The Blues reportedly considered the January window as a solution for Duran and the striker is back on Chelsea’s radar this summer.
On the other hand, it is claimed that the former MLS leader has attracted the attention of clubs in Italy, Saudi Arabia and Spain.
However, Gallagher has hinted that he would possibly prefer to stay at Chelsea, where he is very happy to sign new head coach Enzo Maresca.

However, that resolution may be taken away if Villa manages to reach an agreement with Chelsea, which could gain advantages for both clubs if Duran is sent in opposite directions.
