Chelsea will offer Manchester United two outcasts in Enzo Maresca in a bid to sign Jadon Sancho

NEWS. . . BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Chelsea are making an offer for Jadon Sancho, Manchester United’s fringe, before the transfer window closes.

It’s another tumultuous and hectic summer at Stamford Bridge with Enzo Maresca replacing Mauricio Pochettinio on the bench, ahead of another wave of new signings.

A new-look team gave an indication of what they might be capable of under their new manager on Sunday with a devastating performance in the 6-2 win over Wolves.

Still, despite Noni Madueke’s first hat-trick in the Premier League, Chelsea may still add another winger to their ranks before the window closes.

Meanwhile, Sancho’s long career at Old Trafford is once again the subject of speculation after he was left out of the squad of the day ahead of Saturday’s defeat at Brighton.

After falling out with Erik ten Hag last year in a row which culminated in a successful loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, Sancho returned to the fold over the summer after belatedly apologizing for his behaviour.

With Amad Diallo promoted ahead of him, Sancho is again left wanting and Chelsea, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, are making their decision.

In a bid to trap United to be part of the tactic with Sancho, the Blues will offer one of the two players as part of a potential transfer deal.

England internationals Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling have both; in fact, they are part of Maresca’s plans and can potentially fill gaps in the United team.

Luke Shaw’s injury left United without a left-back, while Sancho’s departure would leave Ten Hag reliant on Diallo, compatriot Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford in the wide areas.

With Sterling already adrift, Maresca also looks set to operate without another of his failed wingers, Mykhailo Mudryk, who retired at half-time at Molineux.

“Because I’m not happy,” Maresca responded bluntly when asked why Mudryk was addicted to breaking.

“I think in some moments we can take better care of certain conditions. He worked very hard with the ball and was very good. But in terms of the ball, I expect a little more quality from Misha.

“For me, he had some smart moments the other day and some smart moments today and the explanation of why it was simply because we had to replace and give some minutes to Pedro [Neto]. “
