The Brazilian is about to sign for the Blues
Chelsea are close to a deal by veteran paris saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva, who leaves the French giants after 8 successful seasons, but failed to win the Champions League in their final match.
Coach Thomas Tuchel remained a big fan of the player and sought for the 35-year-old to remain in Paris, but PSG coach Leonardo would not have shared his enthusiasm.
According to Sky Sports, Silva has agreed terms with Chelsea in the last 48 hours, and as a flexible agent, Silva will charge the Blues any movement fees.
Silva must pass by a doctor in Madrid before flying to England and isolating himself for a fortnight before joining Chelsea.
Despite his age, Silva has been notable for PSG on the crusade and may remain beyond the only season in which Chelsea would have hired him.
Silva recently posted on social media: “Today a cycle ends, after eight years with the PSG team I would like to thank my teammates, the whole technical team and management, the fans, my family, God and friends, for all these happy moments we experienced in the city of light.”

Chilwell for Chelsea
Silva’s arrival follows the signing of Ben Chilwell’s 50 million pounds from Leicester City for Chelsea.
Chilwell announced Thursday that he signed a five-year contract and is expected to succeed Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri on the left side.
23-year-old Chilwell told Chelsea’s official website: “I am delighted to be joining Chelsea at this very exciting time for the club.
“I look forward to being part of this young, dynamic team led by Frank Lampard as we defy honors next season.
“I can’t wait to get there and I hope we play in front of Chelsea enthusiasts at Stamford Bridge.”
Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner have already signed for Stamford Bridge, as discussions about Kai Havertz continue.
The spurs move to the star of the wolves
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham is in “advanced conversations” with the Wolves over right-back Matt Doherty.
