Lampard was promising in his first season by coaching Les Bleus in the Champions League with a fourth national spot.
But Arsenal exposed the flaws they see at Lampard throughout the season with a 2–1 win over their London rivals in the FA Cup final.

After completing 33 editions of the Reds and 15 adrift from second-placed Manchester City last season, the reaction of the Stamford Bridge hierarchy has been categorical.
City set a Premier League club’s overhead record when Pep Guardiola spent 223.8 million pounds ($405 million) before the 2017-18 season.
But Chelsea is ready for that mark.
After being barred from moving into the 2019 summer window before not telling a single player the January 2020 deal, owner Roman Abramovich sanctioned that the cash recruitment crusade rate is nothing unusual when he first purchased the club.
After relying on an organization to promise to liberate his reign, Lampard has prioritized the skill demonstrated in the moving market.
He paid 141 million (A$256 million) for Leipzig striker Timo Werner, Ajax game maker Hakim Ziyech and leicester’s left-back Ben Chilwell.
West Londoners are expected to conclude their 90 million pound (A.A. 164 million) move this week over Bayer Leverkusen striker Kai Havertz, which would allow them to break the City’s record frenzy.
Malang Sarr also arrived with a loose movement after the 21-year-old power station left Nice, but it is one for the long term and will be sent on loan.
It would probably not be the end of Lampard’s review, as Brazilian central definer Thiago Silva is about to sign for Chelsea on the loose this week after leaving Paris Saint-Germain after their last Champions League defeat.
Lampard hopes the generous investment will bring the same rewards for his club as City in 2018, when they were crowned champions thanks in large part to the expenses of owner Sheikh Mansour.
Chelsea have won the Premier League since 2017, failing the two most sensible ever since, while City and Liverpool have established a formidable duopoly.
Klopp’s side will be the team to beat when the new campaign kicks off on September 12 and City can never be discounted while Guardiola is in charge.
But Chelsea is in a verbal exchange about the name after bringing so many additions.
Now it’s up to Lampard to meet your team’s expectations.
Often frustrated by Chelsea’s inability to defeat the defensive and cursed parties last season, Lampard will have to find a way to take advantage of the talents of Christian Pulisic, Werner and Ziyech in what will be a dynamic trio.
Along with Havertz and Chilwell, those five players were involved in 131 massive goals in all competitions for their respective final season.
Lampard can turn to Tammy Abraham, Olivier Giroud and Callum Hudson-Odoi to cool off his attack.
Getting a diverse organization of new recruits to become an effective solution is a simple task.
But scoring goals shouldn’t be a challenge and Lampard hopes Silva and Chilwell can solidify a defense that he has conceded too well last season.
Chelsea conceded league goals last season, 21 more than Liverpool and 19 more than City.
Chilwell will be an improvement over Marcos Alonso and Emerson on the left side.
Silva, 35, is expected to provide leadership and revel in the center of the defense, however, it remains to be noted how he adapts to the exclusive physical demands of the Premier League.
Kepa Arrizabalaga, the world’s top-loved goalkeeper, fell towards the end of the season, but veteran replacement Willy Caballero is not particularly better than the error-prone Spaniard.
If Lampard can choose a new goalkeeper before the window closes, he will be perfectly located for Chelsea, from contenders to real-name contenders.
