“I was desperate to move on and luckily I ran away,” Chilwell said.
“Everything’s fine now, so I can’t wait to recover and play again in the middle of the week. “
Jose Mourinho’s Spurs returned to the most sensible on the table thanks to Sunday’s draw, while Chelsea were third at the start of the new week.
Chelsea extended their unbeaten streak to 14 games in all competitions, with blank sheets in the relay.
Chilwell praised the Blues’ newest defense, underlining developing stability in Frank Lampard’s ranks.
“I don’t know if it was a laugh to watch, but I found it entertaining on the court because they were two smart groups that were tactically very smart that day,” Chilwell told the official Chelsea website.
“I would have liked us to win the match at Stamford Bridge against our rivals, but for me and the rest of the defense, the blank blade is vital to moving on.
“We are satisfied with a blank blade in front of a wonderful strike force like theirs, because we know how they are.
“Kane and Son are very clinical in the long run and the matchmaking game between them is very good, so we are happy to cancel them both.
“When you fight for the top, you don’t need to give them trouble and they don’t need to give you any trouble.
“We seek to win, but we will win the draw; we have to be satisfied with that. “
While Tottenham’s manager, Mourinho, insisted that the Spurs were satisfied with their tie, rookie Joe Rodon revealed his joy on the blank blade.
“It was a very complicated game and debut and leave with a blank sheet a wonderful confidence for me,” Rodon told the official website of the Spurs club.
“There are things to look back at in this reflected image that we have had, so I will take it, I will be informed and I hope to return stronger.
“The minimum is what everyone expects of us is to paint our socks.
“All the boys have sunk and if things don’t go the way we want, it’s vital to leave this sheet blank and I think the kids have worked really hard.
“If we can go on and paint hard to keep the sheets clean, the skill at the front will score a lot of goals. “
