Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic could miss the start of the 2020–21 Premier League season due to a recent ham- tendon injury, manager Frank Lampard said Friday.
The 21-year-old American has been in shape since the Premier League resumes, but limped at the time as part of last week’s FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal.A following MRI revealed a pain that Lampard says could take about six weeks to heal..
The 2020-21 Premier League crusade must begin on September 12.
“With Pulisic, it’s a touch and it’s at the start of the season.We have to treat it properly. He’s been even though he’s had some injuries this season,” Lampard said, according to ESPN.
“In the grand scheme that Pulisic is thinking about the first season, I think his degrees of improvement come here, when you think about his goals and assists, being the most productive of his career in the first year in the Premier League, from where he was starting and how the reboot was played, he would be very satisfied because it is based on his Array paintings..We’ll get him in shape and that’s it. If you lose the first component of the season, the first one or two games, then we will have an authorized Christian willing to restart.”
Pulisic scored goals and recorded four assists on his first Premier League crusade after joining Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund.He helped Chelsea finish fourth in the league this season, securing qualification for the UEFA Champions League next season.
