Chelsea’s failure Christian Pulisic enters AC Milan’s books with a special goal

NEWS. . . BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Chelsea’s failure, Christian Pulisic, was inscribed in the AC Milan history books with a special goal against Hellas Verona on Sunday.

The Blues sold Pulisic for €22m in July and the American foreigner has been heavily inspired since joining the Italian giants.

Pulisic at Stamford Bridge between 2019 and 2023, with the 25-year-old scoring a total of 26 goals and 21 assists in 145 appearances.

But his days in west London are just him and Pulisic has already made history at AC Milan after less than a year at the club.

Pulisic’s goal marked Hellas Verona AC Milan’s 5,000th goal in Serie A, becoming the third team to achieve the feat in the Italian top flight after Juventus and Inter Milan.

He joins Kaká, Daniele Massaro, Paolo Ferrario and Gunnar Nordahl, who scored the 4,000th, 3,000th and 2,000th and are aiming respectively for AC Milan.

AC Milan have recently occupied one place in the Serie A table, between leaders Inter Milan and third-placed Juventus.

Pulisic is the only former Chelsea star at AC Milan, which also has Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Olivier Giroud in its squad.

Loftus-Cheek joined the Italian team in June, while Tomori and Giroud joined in 2021.

Tomori and Giroud helped AC Milan win the Serie A name in 2021-22.
