Despite a complicated start to the season, it is clear that Chelsea have discovered a genuine discounted price at Hakim Ziyech.
The Moroccan missed the first few weeks of the crusade due to a knee injury recovered in a pre-season friendly facing Brighton.
However, since his recent comeback, Ziyech has proven to be one of the blues’ top notable stars.
The winger already has three assists and one purpose in six Premier League appearances for Londoners, his left foot threatening any opposing baseline.
His relationship with Reece James on Chelsea’s right flank has also been impressive, albeit within minutes so far.
Although already dazzling in south-west London, Ziyech will draw inspiration more from a Chelsea legend.
This guy is Eden Hazard, who until now was the Blues’ most productive player before his move to Real Madrid.
Since then, the Belgian has gone through a difficult time with Los Blancos, largely due to injuries.
However, Ziyech recently revealed his view that Hazard remains a “world-class player”, which he can be told a lot about:
“Eden is a world-class player and you’re inspired by the way he plays the game. You look at the little things and how he does things. I can still be very informed of him. “
“So far I’m happy. I feel smart and feel at home, so those are the ultimate things for your field functionality.
“I know what I am capable of and have confidence in myself. I’m calm in my head and I know other things happen.
“That’s the explanation for why you have to take it a step further, challenge yourself with better players around you. I think he’s smart for all the players. “
