Billy Gilmour proved to be one of Chelsea’s season stars.
Despite his more youthful years, the 18-year-old showed off at home in the midfield of the club.
The Scot is impressive against Liverpool in the FA Cup and Everton in the Premier League.
However, when Gilmour began to establish himself as normal on Frank Lampard’s side, a knee injury in July put the youngster out of the game for the rest of the season, as well as the start of the new season.
After an appearance against Sevilla last week, the 19-year-old won his first start at Chelsea since returning from injury on Tuesday.
A weakened Blues team was limited to a 1–1 draw through Krasnodar, in a negligible Champions League draw.
Gilmour, however, inspired and even controlled himself to reward himself as the right kind of prize.

Now, with Gilmour probably close to being fully fit, Chelsea enthusiasts will certainly be ahead of the way of watching their team’s young talents spend more time playing regularly.
There have been discussions in the media about the transfer of the midfielder in January.
However, Frank Lampard indicated after Krasnodar that he would stay there.
Kai Havertz, meanwhile, praised his teammate after Tuesday’s release, supporting Gilmour for having a “great future”:
“We all know that Billy is a player with many qualities.
“He’s still very young like me, but in the Champions League he played very well and we’re all very satisfied with him. He’s got a great career ahead of him.
