In 2018/19, the German hitman added 19 and 10 assists in 37 outings in all competitions.
And the 2019/20 season, Werner controlled to score 34 goals and thirteen assists in forty-five games.
Such exploits, of course, have piqued the interest of some of the most sensitive teams.
It was Liverpool the top hooked on the flexible striker. But in a sort of move, Chelsea was able to rush and get RB Leipzig’s star player in June.

With Hakim Ziyech’s also guaranteed in February, Frank Lampard and company. they now have pretty lethal attack characteristics on their hands for the next campaign.
One of the stars is Christian Pulisic, who had a very good season finale with Chelsea, scoring five and attending 4 out of 10 outings in all competitions.
Now, with less than six weeks to go until the 2020/21 season, Pulisic has talked about the possibility of joining Werner’s team.
The American, who faced Werner during his time in Dortmund, described his new teammate as a very damaging and humble player:
“He’s a great player.
I think he has qualities for me and some of the strikers we have. He’s very fast and very smart in front of the goal.
“He happens to be a very humble guy. He needs to get in and he needs to work.
“Playing against it was a wonderful pleasure and it will be wonderful to have it on my team as well. So I’m looking for the future.”
