Lazio has revived Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, Italy reported.

Giroud almost left Stamford Bridge in January due to considerations of his playing time. Lazio is one of the main contenders for his signature.

However, Giroud ended up staying with Chelsea, and sent a reminder of what he could do by scoring seven goals and lending a hand after the resumption in June.

Even before that, Giroud claimed more in the first team. In fact, he signed a one-year contract extension in May.

Despite this, Chelsea has already reached an agreement to point to Timo Werner. There will be more festival to play the role of Giroud next season.

Therefore, it is possible that the Frenchman is still about to leave. According to Siamo Noi de Lazio, Giroud is now “back on the radar” for Lazio.

The report recalls that Giroud “one step away” from moving to the Italian capital in winter. However, Chelsea only stayed in her way due to a lack of opportunities in her position, a challenge they have now solved by hiring Werner.

As a result, Chelsea could sell Giroud this summer for between 7 and 8 million euros. This put Lazio on alert, and the Serie A team resumed conversations with his agent.

Siamo Noi de Lazio says they are “hectic hours” in the Lazio war to convince Giroud to move to Italy. In fact, they’re going to miss David Silva, so they’re pointing to another large-scale addition.

LaZio is also a movement for James Rodríguez of Real Madrid. However, the site does not know whether this would be an option for Giroud, or complementary.

Rodriguez himself has been linked to a season in the Premier League. In fact, the Colombian said a transfer to Italy or England would be attractive.

Chelsea is also in favour of new signs. Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz is a key target for his midfielder, but they face an anti-time race to point him out.

The Bundesliga club needs to settle its long term before the start of the pre-season. However, they refuse to let it go cheap.

And so far, Chelsea has not been successful in the sale price, which has led to possible tensions between Frank Lampard and his superiors.
