The embattled boss of Red Bull’s Formula 1 team is facing fresh calls to resign, despite being cleared of misconduct towards an employee.
Christian Horner was cleared through an independent investigation through Red Bull last week, but WhatsApp messages and photographs he allegedly exchanged with his accuser were later leaked to the press. The messages, sent via email from an anonymous account, were also sent to key F1 figures. joining FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, F1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali and the other nine team principals.
Horner declined to say whether the leaked messages were authentic and his legal team threatened to take action against whoever posted them.
