Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has flatly denied the hypothesis that he and his wife Geri Halliwell are making plans to star in a surprising family documentary. There have been reports that the two were in talks with Netflix about a documentary similar to the Beckhams’ one. that would capture them at home, away from their lives on the Formula 1 circuit and as a former Spice Girl.
Halliwell has publicly subsidized her husband after controversy reigned over Red Bull to start the 2024 F1 season. Horner was accused, and later acquitted, of misplaced behavior, but the saga has jeopardized his future, as well as that of key members of Team Max. Verstappen, Helmut Marko and Adrian Newey are in question.
His anonymous accuser has since filed an appeal, which appears to be ongoing, after an internal investigation found Horner was innocent of any wrongdoing in the case as he remained at the helm of the F1 team.
Halliwell appeared at the season-opening Grand Prix in Bahrain, holding her husband’s hand in a public show of support, hugging Horner in the Middle East while standing next to the 50-year-old English executive.
It’s possible that those moments simply appeared in a documentary series that was intended to spark a bidding war and would have piqued Netflix’s interest. But Horner vehemently shut down the idea of his family life being broadcast around the world with Halliwell and being confused through the concept of getting more screen time.
“A lot has been written about other things, but surely there are no plans to make a documentary about the circle of relatives,” Horner told China’s GP. “Netflix is doing enough and you see enough behind-the-scenes politics about it. “Where this report came from, I surely have no idea.
Horner is referring to Netflix’s similar documentary, “Drive To Survive,” which ran for six seasons and gives the audience a glimpse of the game and its key characters, with the Red Bull frontman being a prominent figure from the show’s inception.

Creator and CEO James Gay-Rees has shown that season seven, set to premiere in 2025, will be Horner’s ongoing saga. “You’ll have to refer to it to some extent, yes,” Gay-Rees told The Telegraph in March.
“And everybody’s going to need to be told in a specific way, so it’s about following that line so that everybody’s satisfied and so that Netflix and we are satisfied, so that we can sleep at night with the choices that we make. “I’ve done.
“You have to have a balance. I think Horner looks smart at the moment, but I don’t feel like he’s done yet. It all depends on how it plays out. I don’t know what he did, and I don’t know. I have an opinion on that, but he passed it on and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
