Christian Horner has praised Red Bull’s “huge group” amid lingering doubts about Sergio Perez’s long-term future.
The Mexican signed a new two-year contract with the Austrian brands only in June, but since then he has gone through a difficult era. Pérez has been on the podium since the Chinese GP, although he also had to retire in Monaco and Canada.
This puts him in seventh position in the drivers’ standings, with his long career being a matter of debate. After lengthy discussions with Red Bull executives, team principal Horner has to keep his religion on Perez for the rest of the campaign.
And now he has warned that, in the long term, Red Bull would have enough reserves if it tried to make a replacement soon. Speaking to RacingNews365, he said: “We have problems. “

One possible solution for Red Bull is the possible return of veteran driver Daniel Ricciardo. However, he remains in the sister team RB.
The Australian remains determined to show that he still has a lot to offer in Formula 1, whether with Red Bull or another team. Speaking to RacingNews365, he referenced the longevity of Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso as inspiration.
