CLEMSON, S. C. (AP) – Hunter Tyson had thirteen problems and six rebounds, rookie Olivier-Maxence Prosper scored 11 tracks and Clemson beat the state of South Carolina 75-38 on Wednesday night in the Tigers’ first game.
Tyson crowned a 10-0 race in the first half with a 3-point lead for a 20-point lead, and ended up with 10 problems in the first 20 minutes for Clemson to take a 36-18 lead. Clyde Trapp made two shots loose for a 30-point lead with 6:36 remaining at the time.
Clemson (3-0) fired 47% on the field, scoring 25 points in 24 losses in S. C.
Clemson won four votes in the AP Top 25 vote on Monday after victories over the state of Mississippi and Purdue in the Space Coast Challenge.
Aamir Simms, who was named MVP of the tournament after scoring 24 problems in the name game, had 8 problems, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 21 minutes against the state of South Carolina.
Sebastian Guitian had 10 issues and six rebounds for SC State (0-3).
