CLEMSON, South Carolina (AP) – Clemson will begin his season at home opposite Citadel on September 12, taking the place of non-conference on his revised COVID-19 schedule.
The Tigers were scheduled to face the Citadel on 14 November before the global pandemic affected the schedule of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The ACC has followed a 10-game convention program with an opponent outside the convention. Clemson was scheduled to face Akron, Notre Dame and his rival South Carolina city citadel as enemies outside the convention in his last 12-game schedule.
He will face Notre Dame on November 7, as the Irish will compete in the ACC this season.
Citadel is a member of the I Division of the Southern Conference and participates in the subdivision of the football championship. His league decided to suspend the convention games until spring, but let its members play games outside the convention.
The Bulldogs’ contract asks for $450,000 from Clemson.
