Nathaniel Clyne has joined Crystal Palace on a short-term contract, returning for a period at Selhurst Park after an eight-year absence.
Clyne was released through Liverpool, whom he joined from Southampton in 2015, before this year.
The 29-year-old is reunion with Roy Hodgson, with whom he has won thirteen of his 14 matches with England.
“I’m a boy from London, this is where I grew up. I’m home and my whole circle of family and friends is here,” Clyne said on the club’s website.
“It’s surreal to be back, to enjoy it and I can break out and enjoy my football again. “
Palace has six problems in his first four Premier League matches, with victories over Southampton and Manchester United followed by back-to-back losses to Everton and Chelsea.
Clyne can make his debut at the time for the club opposite rivals Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.
