Co-Op Live extension loses Manchester Metrolink

Today, Co-op Live and Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) revealed the expansion of its cutting-edge sustainability programme.

As part of the program, thousands of ticket holders have benefited from free access to the Metrolink tram network, which is included in the price of their ticket. It will now continue until the end of July 2024.

Co-op Live is a huge indoor stadium in Manchester that just opened in 2024. It is the UK’s music stadium and offers the largest land area of any indoor venue, a particularly low ceiling and tiered seating that brings enthusiasts closer to artists. .

Thanks to venue funding, enthusiasts with a valid ticket to the event at the stadium can use the Metrolink four hours before and up to four hours after the show (depending on the schedule of each show). The program allows others to do so when it’s most convenient for them, as it works in all 4 Metrolink zones.

Metrolink is a tram/light rail formula owned by Transport for Greater Manchester. The network has 99 stops on 64 miles of gauge track, making it the UK’s widest light rail transport formula. In the 2022/23 fiscal year, 36 million passenger trips were made as per the formula.

Co-op Live also encourages enthusiasts to use its newly redesigned CityLink walking route, which connects Piccadilly Station to the Etihad campus, home of Co-op Live and the Etihad Stadium. It is a 25-minute walk.

The Climate Pledge, a fund created to expand and invest in climate technologies, has joined Co-op Live as an official sustainability partner and presenting partner of the CityLink walking route.

Post-event data demonstrates that more and more enthusiasts are opting to get to and from Co-op Live using the Metrolink network rather than via personal car.

Co-op Live predicts that more than one million enthusiasts will employ sustainable features over the next 12 months, so they will be able to claim credits for their sustainability initiatives.

Fans can access the data applicable on the occasion on the compromised page of the TfGM website.

Metrolink reported that May 2024 will be the busiest month in the history of the streetcar network.

We are very pleased to see the positive effects of our sustainable collaborative initiative with Transport for Greater Manchester, and very pleased to be able to expand the onboard tram delivery offer until the end of July 2024, as we expect to have over one million enthusiasts. opting for sustainable features for the next 12 months. “

Coupled with the recent partnership announcements, it further solidifies our commitment to giving back to the planet, our local network, and our fans, and I couldn’t be prouder to collaborate with such corporations and organizations to achieve it.
