Matt Eberflus was named the 17th head coach in franchise history on January 27, 2022. He comes to Chicago with 30 years of coaching experience, adding thirteen in the NFL, and finished his fourth season as defensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts in 2021.
Offensive coordinator Luke Getsy begins his season with the Bears in 2023.
Alan Williams begins his season as the Bears’ defensive coordinator in 2023.
Williams has 31 seasons of coaching experience, adding 22 in the National Football League. Before joining the Bears in 2022, he spent 4 seasons as a security coach for the Indianapolis Colts, his moment of experience with the club after coaching defensive backs for 10 seasons (2002-11). He has the most saves with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2001), Minnesota Vikings (2012-13) and Detroit Lions (2014-17).
Richard Hightower begins his current season as the Bears’ special coordinator in 2023 and his third year overall in Chicago after serving as the club’s special assistant coach in 2016.
