College football choice: Alert week disappointed big 12

In recent years, the Big 12 has been completely solid and highly volatile.

Oklahoma has won back-to-back convention championships, wasting a league game in more than 4 seasons, still a big favorite.

The rest of the convention is an adventure excursion to choose from, with five other schools completing a moment after the Sooners each of the last 4 years. The state of Oklahoma and West Virginia are tied for the current position in 2016.

A week after big 12 within Minutes of Texas Tech defeated its two classic heavyweights on the first day of the conference, the No. nine Texas and 18 Oklahoma face potentially difficult games again.

The Longhorns host Texas-owned TCU since former UT athletic director DeLoss Dodds played a key role in taking the Horned Frogs to Big 12 in 2012.

TCU coach Gary Patterson is 6-2 against 3 Texas coaches in the Big 12 game. This is one way to return a favor.

In fact, it can be argued that no rivalry represents the Longhorns’ recent struggle to be more than a competitor of the big 12 than their series with the Frogs.

From 1968 until the dissolution of the Southwest Conference after the 1995 season, TCU beat Texas once. The installation of an annual series on TCU was not meant to be a risk to Texas, however, the Frogs not only won two-thirds of the games, but also earned it outright.

Oklahoma will attempt to recover from its second-half cave as opposed to the state of Kansas and the state of Iowa in Ames. Traditionally, this has been a reliable game for the Sooners. Oklahoma has lost twice to the state of Iowa since 1962.

Coach Matt Campbell’s arrival at Iowa State, however, turned the Clones into an exit: OR won 3 of the last four, but none more than 10 points.

This can be appealing Saturday to the Red River Rivals, who then face off.
