College football team: Alabama-LSU will run out of rumors

Alabama-LSU has gone from the Game of the Century to being as attractive as Liberty in Coastal Carolina in thirteen months.

Crimson Tide, the top-ranked, will face national champions Tigers on Saturday in a game that will likely be a high score for Alabama, which has more than 4 touchdowns.

Looking for a ranked team game this week? Try Conway, South Carolina. No. 14 Carolina No. 14 sets its undefeated record on the line against No. 25 Liberty in an attack in August after the pandemic sparked a race to reschedule school football.

This is ESPN’s College GameDay that will take place on Saturday.

As for Tigers and Tides, it was a No. 1 vs. No. 2 in Tuscaloosa last season. Joe Burrow and LSU broke a streak of eight games lost in the series with an exciting victory that helped LSU win a national title.

This adjustment will be the first time the two groups have not been ranked since 2006, when Tide came out of the Top 25 and LSU 12. The Tigers won 28-14.

The last time LSU faced Alabama as an unranked team in 2001, when none were in the survey. An unranked LSU team last faced an Alabama qualified team in 1999 and the 12th Tide won 23-17.
