Commentary Manchester United vs Newcastle Live and XI: Bruno Fernandes absent but Marcus Rashford returns

Manchester United desperately want 3 problems tonight as they host Newcastle in the 2024 Premier League game.

The Red Devils have lost their last two top-flight games and their last three in all competitions.

Life under Ruben Amorim has not started in the way they would have wanted it to, and Wolves got the better of them last time out.

It leaves United sitting 14th in the table and closer to the relegation zone than a place in the Champions League spots.

A win is a must, however, Newcastle is a must-face team at the moment, with Eddie Howe looking to win his last three.

Man United: Onana, De Ligt, Maguire, Martinez, Mazraoui, Dalot, Casemiro, Eriksen, Amad, Zirkzee, Hojlund

Subs: Bayindir, Yoro, Malacia, Rashford, Garnacho, Antony, Mainoo, Collyer, Kukonki

Newcastle: Dubravka, Trippier, Schar, Burn, Hall, Tonali, Guimaraes, Joelinton, Murphy, Gordon, Isak

Substitutes: Vlachodimos, Kelly, Livramento, Barnes, Osula, Almirón, Willock, Longstaff, Miley

Amad showed his determination of good fortune in United by telling Amorim that he will play in a purpose if necessary.

The Ivorian has been deployed in several positions this season and is fit to occupy any position in the team.

He said: “In football this can happen. Don’t do it in one position.

“Sometimes you can play as a defender, as a striker. Wherever the manager puts me, I’m in a position to fight for the team. “

“I just want to play, right wing, number 10, anywhere.

“I tell the coach that if he wants me as a goalkeeper, I am in a position to give my best, I will fight for the team and for my teammates.

“I want to make history for this club.”

This Premier League clash will take position on Monday, December 30.
