Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will miss the Community Shield clash Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said the midfielder was injured in the knee in training.

But Oxlade-Chamberlain now cannot play against his former club, and Klopp admitted that he does not know when the 27-year-old will be in action.

“An unfortunate scenario too; it’s a challenge (in training).
“It seems to be very similar to what Hendo (Jordan Henderson) had, which helps keep him away while we don’t know exactly how long.
“But sure, in this pre-season he probably wouldn’t play a game; Arsenal (in the Community Shield) actually doesn’t and then we’ll see. The next game will probably be two weeks later, but I don’t know.
