Following the 5-1 victory in their first match at the Level of Champions League organization against Ferencvaros, Barcelona announced new contracts for 4 key first-team players.
According to the club’s website, Gerard Piqué, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Clement Lenglet and Frenkie de Jong have signed new offers.
He added that all of those agreements come with a “temporary salary adjustment” to a large extent that will save cash amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Barcelona reports that defender Piqué signed a new contract until the summer of 2024, but the deal is related to the fact that the centre-back will make several appearances in 2021/22.
The Blaugrana have tied their world-class striker Ter Stegen until the summer of 2025, with the German star clause set at 500 million euros.
Piqué’s core partner, Lenglet, has been extended to the summer of 2026, with the 25-year termination clause of three hundred million euros.
Finally, last summer’s signing, De Jong, signed a new contract until the summer of 2026, with the 23-year-old midfielder clause worth 400 million euros.
