Arsenal’s defense gabriel tested positive for coronavirus, the Brazilian of the Gunners’ upcoming matches against Brighton and West Brom.
It was announced on Boxing Day that Gabriel self-ingested after it was reported that he was in close contact with a user who had tested positive for the virus.
He missed the 3–1 win over Chelsea in a row and news of his positive check will be absent for trips to Brighton and West Brom on Tuesday and Saturday respectively.
A on Arsenal’s online page said: “Gabriel has tested positive for Covid-19 and is ousting in accordance with British government and Premier League protocols.
“We will continue to monitor Gabriel, and we hope he will come back after our next two games. “
Compatriots David Luiz and Willian were also excluded from Chelsea’s game due to illness, but the club said the pair had tested negative for Covid-19 and had to sign up for the full team on New Year’s Eve. Thomas Partey is also absent with a thigh injury.
