Coronavirus: Xavi skips Al Khor’s surprise after COVID-19 positive

Al Sadd’s manager, Xavi, will miss his team’s qatar Stars League clash with Al Khor after a coronavirus positive.

The former Barcelona star says it “feels good” but isolates it according to festival protocols.

In a posted on the club’s online page on Saturday, the wonderful Spaniard said: “Today I will not be able to sign for my team when I return to the official competition.”

“A few days ago, following the QSL protocol, I tested positive for the latest COVID-19 test. Luckily, I feel good, but I’ll be at a distance until I get the green light.

“When fitness permits, I’ll be looking ahead to get back to my daily regimen and work.

“I would like to thank all the authorities, especially those of QSL, QFA [Qatar Football Association] and Al Sadd for providing the means of early detection, reducing the spread of infection and ensuring the overall progression of the competition.

“Be careful and see you soon in the field!”

Reserve coach David Prats will take the pace of the game, Al Sadd’s first since the league’s suspension in May.
