César Azpilicueta, the captain of the English Premier League and Chelsea FA Cup finalist, sent a message to Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, who is being treated for COVID-19 at a Mumbai hospital.
Abhishek is being treated in hospital with his father, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, who fights coronavirus.
Abhishek’s actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s wife and daughter Aaradhya were discharged from the hospital after a COVID-19 negative on July 27.
Abhishek turned to social media to reveal a letter he had won from Chelsea captain Azpilicueta. His message read: “It was my week. Thank you very much Chelsea FC. The only thing that can be more sensible is to win the FA Cup tonight. Come on, Chelsea.”
Chelsea fan Abhishek refers to the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Arsenal.
“Dear Abhishek, we have heard that you are not very well at the moment and we are just looking to touch you to wish you well,” says the Chelsea letter, signed through patron Azpilicueta.
“I know the players and I were very excited when we found out what you went through and just looking for you to know that we’re thinking about you and your circle of family members in difficult times I imagine.
“On behalf of all players and Chelsea, I wish you all the best.”
