FC Barcelona is pleased to announce the organization of the “Marcha Culer” (Barça Walk) with Montserrat Abbey as its final destination, set to take place on Saturday, March 22. This event is part of the celebrations of the club’s 125th anniversary and the millennium of the Benedictine monastery.
It is open to FC Barcelona members, supporters’ club members, and fans, and it will have two route options: a long route of 47 kilometers, starting from the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, and a shorter route of 6.5 kilometers, departing from the Rambla de Collbató.
This non-competitive walk will follow the guidelines of the Federació d’Entitats Excursionistes de Catalunya (FEEC), with which FC Barcelona has signed a collaboration agreement. The organization of the Marcha Culer has been made possible thanks to the efforts of volunteers from FEEC-affiliated groups and the expertise of their advisors.
Registration and route
FC Barcelona enthusiasts who wish to participate in the marching culer can log in online in the club’s website members. The registration opens on February 5 for the club members and the members of the followers club, and on February 7 for the general public.
The long road will move away from the Sportive Joan Gamper of Ciutat on March 22, passing through the municipalities of Sant Joan Despí, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Molins de Rei, Sant Vicenç dels Horts, Pallejà, El Papiol, Castellbisbal, Sant Sant Andreu de la Barca, Martorell, Sant Esteve Sesrovires, Esparregera and Collbató. The brief direction will begin from Collbató at 9:00 a. m. The next morning.
There will be seven refreshment problems along the way, adding the two beginner locations, located in Molins de Rei, Martorell, Santve Esteve Sonrovires, Esparregera, Collbató and despite everything on the Carré du Monastery de Montserrat. The minimum age to participate in the long walk is 16, while for the short walk, it is the 12. MINors will have to register through a father or guardian. The registration payment for the long walk is € 50 for the club members, € 53, € 53 for the members of the followers club and € 55 for the general public. For the short walk, the payment is € 30 for the club members, € 33 for members of the followers club and € 35 for the general public. Registration payment includes a bib number and a synchronization chip, the official march -culer shirt, medical assistance and destination insurance, refreshment stations, practical and service information, and popularity when arriving when arriving to the monastery of Montserrat.
The collection of shirts and files will take a position at the Auditori of 1899, at the Spotify Camp Nou camp, as of March 17. The starting times will be adjusted according to the arrival of the participants in the monastery. The price ticket for the rail shelf (zipper) of the monastery in Monistrol is not included.
Barça and Montserrat
FC Barcelona and Montserrat Abbey, two establishments deeply rooted in the history of Catalonia, come in combination to celebrate the club’s 125th anniversary and the monastery’s 1000th anniversary. The historic link between Barça and Montserrat was solidified on December 16, 2024, with the signing of a twinning agreement that reinforces their commitment to collaboration.
