Czechs beat Slovakia 3-1 in Nations League derby

(Reuters) – The Czech Republic achieved a 3–1 home win over neighbouring Slovakia after, however, beating its parties in conflict with 3 goals in the second half in the League of Nations clash on Friday.

The Czechs pushed up and controlled much of the Group 2 League B match, but they may not find the advice in the first half that Sparta Prague’s 18-year-old striker Adam Hlozek made his deyet as the youngest Czech foreigner of all time.

Vladimir Coufal gave the Czechs the upper hand after the break when Slovak goalkeeper Dominik Greif cut off a Jakub Jankto centre for Slavia Prague player to take his position at home.

Borek Dockal took a position in the 53rd minute by beating the goalkeeper from the penalty spot after Norbert Gyomber of Slovakia hit Lukas Masopust inside the area.

Michael Krmencuk closed the Czech score at 86 before Ivan Schranz scored for the Slovaks two minutes later.

Prior to the match, Slavia manager Jaroslav Trvdik said he would ask to withdraw all seven players from the Czech national team before Monday’s home game against Scotland due to a positive coronavirus among the staff.
