Spanish midfielder David Silva has signed a two-year contract with Real Sociedad following his departure from Manchester City, and announced the League on Monday.
Silva, 34, spent a decade at City and last played as a substitute in Saturday’s 3–1 loss to Lyon in the Champions League quarter-finals.He is expected to join his new fellow Society in the coming days.for pre-season training.
The 2020/21 La Liga crusade will begin on 12 September, and the Society finished sixth last season to qualify for the Europa League.
Silva won 11 domestic trophies his time in Manchester and is widely looked as one of the Premier League’s most sensible imports.
The City said that next year a statue will be erected in his honor, while a court on the club’s educational floor will also bear his name.
Silva is the fourth-leading goalscorer in Spain’s history and the sixth of all time and one of the groups that won the 2010 World Cup and two European Championships in 2008 and 2012.
