DeAndre Baker will appeal to the NFL to put him on the waiver list

Giants corner Deandre Baker will appeal the NFL’s ruling to place him in the position of the exoneration commissioner, Baker’s attorney Patrick Patel told Paul Schwartz of The Post.

The NFLPA would record any Camp Baker appeal.

When he’s on the waiver list, Baker exercises or plays. You will be paid and, upon request and with the permission of the club, you would possibly be provided on the team premises on a moderate basis for meetings, individual exercise sessions, treatment and rehabilitation and other non-football legal activities.

Baker faces four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.

Why? He’s going to get paid while he’s on the list which would essentially be what many players are doing–opt out of 2020. I can’t understand why he would fight this.

That probably wouldn’t be a problem. If the Giants feel bigger without it (and their legal problems), they can also be eliminated.

That sounds reasonable.
