Jordan Henderson sent Dejan Lovren the top card after the zaguero left Liverpool for Zenit St Petersburg this summer, and also sent a reproduction of the Premier League trophy.
After six years at Anfield, Lovren left the club this summer for 12 million euros to move to Russia, having helped Liverpool win his first league name in 30 years.
The 31-year-old won a good percentage of complaints during his time in England, but his former businessmen obviously held him in high esteem.
She took to Instagram to reveal a letter Henderson sent her, along with photos of the gift that came with it.
In the letter, Henderson wrote: “Let,
“It’s very unlikely that you’ll think of Liverpool without you being with us and, to be honest, you haven’t sunk into that, but you may not come back.
“You have been such an important figure in our team and one of the biggest influences for us led us to where we are now: winners and champions.
“I hope you realize that in the game you are considered one of the most productive in the world in what you do. We and Croatia have been instilled in the locker room to keep fighting.
“Even in the times when it was difficult for you, you were always there for everyone. I will never do the help you gave me and the difference you made me by helping to lead this team. At all times you have been a ‘captain’ yourself, no need to wear a bracelet, we all appreciate it.
“Off the court, you’re one of the most important characters I’ve shared costumes with. All players, no matter what world they are or where they are, can simply talk to you. It’s a human quality.
“I miss you already, although I am still waiting for you to return to Melwood and be in the middle of jokes and arguments. I hope you realize how much we appreciate what you have given for this club and for us as a team I can thank you very much and I am very happy if you or your incredible circle of family want something.
“Good for the future, but you should know that you still have your brothers in Liverpool if you ever love us.
“YNWA
“Nice stay”
Lovren is already settling well in life after Liverpool, continued his victory in his first match with the club, winning the 2020 Russian Super Cup, a match in which Branislav Ivanovic lost the trophy.
The Croatian has already scored for his new club and also scored an absolute world cup for his country on Tuesday night, when they lost 4-2 to France in the Nations League.
