Injury disorders are back for Philadelphia Eagles open receiver DeSean Jackson after suffering a hamr tendon injury sunday in front of the Cincinnati Bengals and being left out for the rest of the game.
Jackson started this season slowly with 110 yards in eight receptions in two games. He returned to the Eagles last year when he signed a three-year contract. Triple Pro Bowler hoped to take a big risk to the offense for Quarterback Carson Wentz.
After an impressive week with 1. 54 yards and two touchdowns in 8 receptions against Washington, Jackson suffered an abdominal tear the following week and never recovered. He played four offensive shots in Week Nine against the Chicago Bears, but his season ended in November 5 when he underwent central muscle surgery.
The Eagles have taken steps to cope with their reception chart this off-season. Jalen Reagor, John Hightower and Quez Watkins were written. Reagor has played a game and lately is absent with a torn thumb ligament, while Watkins is in the injured reserve.
Injuries have been a challenge for Jackson in recent years. The 33-year-old has played a full schedule of 16 games since 2013 and has missed at least 4 games in 3 of the last five seasons.
Because Jackson is healthy, he has the speed and experience to be Philadelphia’s number one. However, health is the recurring problem.
