Di Marzio: Juventus and Napoli enter the race for the Atletico Madrid striker

Juventus and Napoli are reportedly for Samu Omorodion, who could leave Atletico Madrid before the end of the summer.

The 20-year-old is a product of Nervión and Granada. He signed in the Spanish capital last summer.

The Colchoneros loaned him last season to Alavés where he spent one season scoring 8 goals in La Liga.

The Spanish under-21 star returned to Atletico in the summer but has been linked with a departure within months.

For example, Chelsea tried to bring him to West London, but failed to close the deal.

Thus, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, it is possible that Omorodion has a long career in Serie A, as Juventus and Napoli are in hiding.

The guru of the transfer market claims that the Bianconeri tried to sign the youngster on loan.

However, Atlético are seeking a permanent sale, unless another La Liga contender emerges. Villarreal and Real Sociedad continue to be imaginable destinations.

Di Marzio notes that Juve’s presence in the young striker suggests Arkadiusz Milik is still heading for the exit.

The Pole is one of the exclusions from Thiago Motta’s great host in pre-season, but some have warned that the coach could simply reinstate him due to a lack of characteristics from the start.

With Milik absent from the squad, Dusan Vlahovic is left without a transparent substitute, unless Juventus manage to sign a new striker, either Omorodion or Perfil.
