London, 21 July (IANS) Tottenham Hotspur defensive midfielder Eric Dier has signed a new contract with english Premier League club until 2024.
“Eric has been with the club for six years after joining Sporting Lisbon in July 2014 and made a memorable debut with a purpose of winning at the last minute on the opening day of the 2014/15 season at West Ham United,” he said of the Spurs.The official online website announced the development.
Englishman Dier has gone from defense to a midfield role in his season with Tottenham.
Dier, who has 40 games for England, was also inspired by the team’s defence center and amassed a total of 239 appearances for the club, scoring 11 times.
He has controlled England in several events and has also been the team that finished fourth at the 2018 World Cup.
Meanwhile, manager Jose Mourinho has suggested to his players that they continue to have compatibility and a safe position in next year’s Europa League.The last time Mourinho was part of a Europa League team, he took Manchester United to the name and helped them win a position in the Champions League.
