A breeder claims embattled Rep. George Santos stole puppies and issued NSF checks totaling $15,000. Sung Lans has a background.

DOUGLASTON, Queens (WABC) – A breeder says a beleaguered representative. George Santos stole puppies and wrote NSF checks totaling $15,000.

The rancher is an Amish dairy farmer from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

He alleges that in 2017, Santos went home to the puppies he raises sideways.

“He says it’s okay, we’re going to take this puppy and this puppy. And his assistant grabs the two puppies, pulls them out the door and pulls out a check. I like it oh no, is this guy going to pay me with a Verify? At the time, I became very suspicious,” said the man, who did not need to be identified.

He says Santos’ assistant put the dogs in a car and Santos knew the breeder only accepted cash, not checks.

Santos qualified as burglary in Pennsylvania, but the rate later fell after claiming someone had stolen his checkbook.

The rancher says Santos wrote nine NSF checks for $15,000.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, citizens gathered outdoors at Santos’ workplace in Queens to call for Congress to take action to deport him.

Members of NY-03 Concerned Citizens are urging House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to come up with a solution to expel Santos from the House for a vote.

Protesters say Santos’ lies about his background and legacy make him unworthy of serving.

They say if he doesn’t resign, let him be fired so that the other people in his district can fulfill his wishes in Washington.

“You probably would have forgiven yourself, but we haven’t and we won’t,” one protester said.

“At the end of the day, George Santos is nothing more than a pariah, he has no credibility with his Republican colleagues or House representatives,” Russell said. “So how are you going to fight for me and everything you want as your voter?”

In a tweet, Santos wrote: “Let me be very clear, I’m leaving, hiding and NOT backing down. “

He says he will continue to work for his district, adding that he hopes to do what he wants to do.
