Michael Zorc has daunting news for Manchester United and all of Jadon Sancho’s suitors.
Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director has to put an end to all the movements scenarios on the 20-year-old English star, saying it was quite transparent on Monday that Sancho would be with the Negros and Yellows for the 2020-2021 season. Man United has reportedly agreed non-public terms with Sancho, but has not yet reached an agreement with Dortmund on payment before more can happen. This last facet does not appear to be in the agfinisha, so Zorc’s comments should be regarded as a gospel.
“We hope to have Jadon Sancho on our team this season, the resolution is final,” Zorc said on the day of an obvious and arbitrary deadline set by Dortmund to settle the saga. “I think he answers all our questions.”
All of this, of course, may be just a stance to make sure Dortmund gets a really big refund for Sancho, who scored 17 goals and 16 assists for BVB last season and is one of the real emerging talents of the world. Zorc said similar things about emerging talent, Ousmane Dembele, in 2017, and Dortmund still ended up promoting Dembele to Barcelona.
Sancho travelled with Dortmund to Switzerland on Monday for his pre-season education camp. Dortmund would rate a movement payment of around $140 million, which would scare up clubs as the money has an effect on the pandemic on sport.
Just because Dortmund’s deadline has passed and Zorc has insisted that what he said doesn’t mean the movement saga is dead. The modified motion window is open until October 5, there may only be a few more months for positioning related to Sancho’s future.
