Former Washington football quarterback Dwayne Haskins discovered something new after firing his former agent.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Haskins will point out with Goal Line Football and be represented through Cedric Saunders and Brian Levy.
Schefter noted that Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy are among those recently represented through Saunders and Levy.
Haskins, the football team’s first-round national team in 2019, was released on Monday after making thirteen openings in two seasons. He began Washington’s week 16 loss to the Carolina Panthers, but was sent to the bench by Taylor Heinicke in the final quarter.
After Washington announced his release, Haskins posted one on his personal Twitter account (h/t Phil Harrison of BuckeyesWire. com).
“Unfortunately, my time with the WFT is over,” he wrote. ” I thank the team and the enthusiasts for the opportunity to play for the team I grew up for. I assume a full duty not to meet the criteria of an NFL QB and I will be a better guy and a better player through this experience.
Schefter reported Wednesday that Haskins and Agent David Mulugheta had agreed to separate.
Haskins, 23, the 15th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, finished third in the Heisman Trophy vote for Ohio State in 2018 after throwing 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns in 14 games.
In 16 appearances with Washington, Haskins pitched for 2,804 yards with 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. His final touch percentage of 61. 4 this season ranks 33rd out of 36 qualified quarterbacks.
