Eagles head coach Doug Pederson returned to paintings Wednesday, 10 days after COVID-19 positive.
But Pederson said he was busy in his spare time. He organized team meetings almost from his quarantined home. He saw the fieldwork and conditioning video. And he went over each and every detail of the next calendar.
“Obviously, I didn’t need to miss a moment if I didn’t have to,” Pederson said Wednesday about the NovaCare complex on a conference call with Zoom. “I can watch the education sessions and stick to everything we did, while leading the team from home. I think it’s anything that the off-season taught us, taught us, how to do that virtually.
“At the same time, I’m gnawing, I’m able to come back here and be on the lawn with the players.”
Pederson had to have two negative coronavirus test results before being allowed back into the Eagles training facility.
Technically, Pederson did not miss any practice time. NFL groups did strength and conditioning training while Pederson was away, in what is known as the “promotion period.”
The first box exercise consultation with the coaches began on Wednesday, but players wear helmets and shorts. This lasts until next Monday, when groups can exercise on the platform.
Pederson said the team will go through a normal preseason regimen once the padded practices begin. That will include eight or nine padded practices, with two days of live hitting and tackling to the ground.
That’s what Pederson’s done in the last pre-season.
That’s why Pederson was furious about how he and the team hope to catch up with Pederson, who missed the last 10 days and the normal season scheduled to begin in a month.
“We put all our attack and our defense. It’s already installed,” Pederson said. “Lately we’re working in situational football. We paint in all other scenarios, even if we take steps and do class.
“So we had time with those players, even on the lawn. We had time with our recruits last week, so we’re not betting on catching up. The only thing we miss, Array is probably the live practices we would have had in general. situation.”

But there are challenges.
Due to the pandemic, the NFL canceled the four preseason games that were scheduled to play. The Eagles’ first game would have been Thursday night.
Pederson said that includes making sure incumbents can get mandatory representatives in practice, while comparing rookie draft picks, unselected loose agents, and loose agents.
Please note that the Eagles and the rest of the NFL groups were unable to do so in the spring, when organized team activities were canceled and groups can hold meetings virtually.
“I think it’s the fine line. I think that’s the balance we want to position as coaches.”
Pederson is able to do everything he can from afar when he’s 40 years old. Halfbacks/assistant head coach Duce Staley led the team from inside the NovaCare complex.
