Eagles Lincoln Financial Field will be a polling station

Pennsylvania is the most vital state in this year’s presidential election, and the Eagles must do everything they can to inspire Pennsylvanians to vote.

To that end, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said today that he needs Lincoln Financial Field to be a voting station. Due to considerations of polling station overcrowding in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, stadiums are smart opportunities as they are built for a giant crowd and gigantic enough for the electorate and voting staff to disperse .

“Any help we can do to maximize how simple it is for other people to vote,” Lurie said. “The Eagles will make this effort 1000%.”

After NBA players refused to play last week to protest the police shooting of Jacob Blake, they agreed to use NBA stadiums as voting centers. Now the NFL is also joining this effort.
