Eagles win first of season, NFC East leads with great game of saviors

Carson Wentz has been here before, of course, with a frame exhausted by open receivers in addition to injuries on the offensive line.

And yet, one or the other, Wentz was discovered throwing Travis Fulgham, promoted Saturday from the practice squad, for a 42-yard landing with 5:50 for playing in-game for the landing of approval.

It’s time for Fulgham’s NFL career. The first one came earlier in the game. Linebacker Alex Singleton, a former Canadian Football League player, intercepted 49ers quarterback Nick Mullens and returned 25 yards for a touchdown.

The Eagles then held on and beat the 49ers 25-20 on Sunday night. The 49ers had one last one with seven seconds to finish, but C. J. Bathard, who replaced Mullens after the interception, threw incompletely into the finish zone.

It’s the Eagles’ first win of the season and at 1-2-1, they took first place in the NFC East.

Salt.

The Eagles were already exhausted at the open receiver, their first four injured, which required Fulgham’s call. Three offensive linemen had been lost before Lane Johnson missed the top of the first half with an ankle injury before returning in the part for now.

Fletcher Cox missed the last quarter’s maximum due to leg cramps and Edwards, a supporter, left with a hamr tendon injury.

And the Eagles couldn’t help the tight 49ers, George Kittle, who had 183 yards, while the rest of the 49ers gained 118 yards.

Still, the Eagles won even though Wentz pitched his seventh interception of the season, tying his overall in the last three seasons.

They did so with a wise offense, either Miles Sanders, who had 46 yards on thirteen hauls and Wentz with 37 yards on seven hauls.

After a slow start, Wentz finished 18 of 28 passes for 193 yards.

The Eagles didn’t have much selection with all the injuries before the game, then early when Johnson injured his ankle and left the game early in the first quarter. Rookie Jack Driscoll replaced him.

At this point, the Eagles offensive line consisted of Jordan Mailata, Nate Herbig, Jason Kelce, Matt Pryor and Driscoll. Kelce was the only player expected before the start of the season.

One way or another, the Eagles had to move the ball.

They took the lead early, intelligently moving the ball to the field. Sanders gained eight yards, giving the Eagles one a and two of the 49ers 39 when Wentz dropped the ball to Sanders, who turned it into a 28-yard gain.

On the next move, Wentz simulated a move towards Sanders, then ran to his left and entered the finish area. The Eagles opted for a two-point conversion and gave it to them when Wentz hit Zach Ertz to give them an 8-0 lead. 3:51 to play.

The 49ers responded when Mullens threw the punch line at Brandon Aiyuk, who ran down the right-back line. At one point, he faced protection from the Eagles, Marcus Epps, and went 38 yards in the finish line.

The Eagles even received their first ball loss in defence when Rodney McLeod intercepted Mullens at eagles yard six in the first half.

Still, the Eagles had to settle for an advantage at half-time due to all injuries.

The Eagles were already at a numerical disadvantage in the corner as Avonte Maddox and his replacement Trevor Williams were eliminated by injury. The Eagles moved Jalen Mills’ protection to the corner, a position he played in his first four seasons in the nfl, and Epps began protecting himself, his career start.

He is also helpless in open receiver, where Eagles Greg Ward, Deontay Burnett and Fulgham.

That’s because open receivers DeSean Jackson (corva tendon), Alshon Jeffery (foot) and JJ Arcega-Whiteside (calf) are not on the list of fit days.

The Eagles lost supporter T. J. Edwards (corva tendon) and Rudy Ford protection (ham of the corva tendon) to first-half injuries.

However, they have a way.

The 49ers took a 14-8 lead with 8:26 to pass in the third quarter with a five-yard pass from Mullens to Kittle.

The Eagles responded with a 16-game training that lasted 7 minutes and 31 seconds and they were given a basket on the field.

Then Cre’Von LeBlanc, in a corner bombing, fired Mullens and forced a break that Malik Jackson recovered, giving the ball to the Eagles in the 49ers. 49ers’42 when Wentz threw deep into the band line at Fulgham.

That way, the Eagles are back in the lead.

The Eagles still had a good defensive streak in the first three games of the season.

That Sunday when Rodney McLeod intercepted a pass in the room of the moment and Cre’Von LeBlanc forced a getaway that Malik Jackson regained in the last quarter.

LeBlanc bombarded and hit Mullens, giving the Eagles the ball at San Francisco 42.

But Singleton’s interception sealed the game for the Eagles when he was a catcher and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown.

Jalen Hurts played some games on Sunday night. Twice it could have happened. The first one came here when he was in the shotgun in the first half. Wounded fell backwards, but then ran in the middle for nine yards.

In the fourth quarter, Hurts covered himself wide, Wentz arrived, took control and looked to throw, no one was open, so he kept the ball and won 4 yards.

It seemed that Eagles coach Doug Pederson was looking to regain his aggression by asking his team to do a two-point conversion after scoring a landing in the first quarter.

Wentz converted, throwing a Zach Ertz on the plane, giving the Eagles an 8-0 lead with 3:51 left in the first quarter.

The first quarter is an era for 2.
