Eddie Vanderdoes of the Texans retires

Another player who will not participate in the 2020 season for coVID-19 considerations.

The Texans’ defensive attitude about Eddie Vanderdoes has been retired, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Vanderdoes signed for Houston at the end of last season and is expected to be a component of the defensive line rotation this season.

NFL players can choose not to participate in the 2020 season and get a $350,000 stipend if needed, or a $150,000 allowance if they retire by choice. Their contracts are sown the following year and the allocation they earn in 2020 will be deducted from their 2021 salary.

More than a dozen of the NFL have retired this season.
