Edinson Cavani breaks the silence about the future, confirms Benfica’s movement conversationsArray..leaves the door open for the Leeds move

The 33-year-old Uruguayan star returns to Paris after a break from his home in Montevideo and has shown that he is in talks with several clubs.

Benfica gave the impression that he had secured Cavani’s signing this month as part of an agreement worth 8.1 million pounds per year.

But Cavani himself says that “nothing is defined” after his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, in a massive touch to Leeds.

About Benfica, who signed Jan Vertonghen of Tottenham, Cavani revealed: “We talk.

“There were meetings, as well as with clubs.

“There’s nothing definite, so I can’t say anything.

“When there’s a deal, when it’s real, they’ll know.”

Cavani has worked hard since his release through PSG and has shared a video of his education while trying to enter a new club.

Cavani seemed willing to sign for Atletico Madrid following rumours that an agreement had been reached in January.

But after the failed move, he was the newest in a line-up developing single stars, adding Joe Hart, to move to the gym to attract a new team.

Cavani would have signed a two-year contract with Benfica with an “imminent” announcement.

The deal appears to have completely collapsed after the Portuguese club posted an official on its online page who called his interest in Cavani “absolutely false”.

He said: “Benfica denies false reports from press organizations about the club’s interest in unfounded players.”

“One story that stands out is that of the club’s president, Luis Felipe Vieria, supposedly in negotiations with Edison Cavani.

“This story is false.”

Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has spoken publicly about the possibility of hiring Cavani to lead the line next season, with his team back in the Premier League.

He said: “In addition to his quality, Cavani can contribute to his physique and adapt here, but I have never spoken of him with the coach.

“Having said that, we actually have an idea about it and we’ll see, given that it’s still available on a loose transfer.”

Cavani deserves not to run out of contenders this month, either after constantly recording one of the most sensitive scores in Europe in her career.

This includes 353 goals in 586 club appearances, while scoring 50 times in 116 games for Uruguay.

In the most sensible of that, Cavani is a winner of the series at the beginning of the PSG with 16 primary trophies to his credit.
